How We Review Papers
At IJVRAS, peer review isn't a formality — it's the backbone of everything we publish. Every manuscript goes through a structured double-blind review before it ever reaches our pages.
Double-blind means the reviewer doesn't know who wrote the paper, and the author doesn't know who reviewed it. This keeps things fair. The work is judged on its own merit, not on the name or institution behind it.
Step-by-Step Review Process
Initial Check by Editorial Team
When your paper arrives, our editorial team first checks whether it fits the journal's scope, meets our formatting requirements, and appears to be original work. This usually happens within 24 hours of submission.
Assigned to Expert Reviewers
If it passes the initial check, the paper is sent to at least two reviewers who specialize in that particular subject area. We pick reviewers carefully — they need to actually know the field.
Reviewers Evaluate the Work
Each reviewer looks at the paper closely and assesses it on four key criteria:
- Is it original? Does it bring something new to the table?
- Is the technical and scientific quality solid?
- Is it clearly written and easy to follow?
- Does it fit the scope of IJVRAS?
Editor Makes a Decision
Based on what the reviewers say, the editor makes one of four decisions:
Author Revises (If Needed)
If revisions are requested, authors will receive clear, specific feedback from the reviewers. You'll know exactly what needs to change and why. Once revisions are submitted, the paper goes back for a final check before a decision is made.
How Long Does It Take?
We know waiting for a review decision can be stressful, so we try to keep things moving. The typical timeline looks like this:
Initial Screening
Within 24 hours of submission, you'll hear back on whether your paper has passed the initial check.
Full Review
The full peer review typically takes 2–7 days, depending on how complex the manuscript is.
After Revisions
Revised papers are re-checked quickly. We don't keep you waiting a second time around.
After Acceptance
Once accepted, your paper can be published and live on the site in as little as 4 hours.
